What we do

Everything that involves a tree and a saw.

From a careful prune to a full removal, we handle it — and we leave the lawn the way we found it.

Tree removal

Hazardous, dead, in-the-way. Residential or commercial. Climbed and roped down where access is tight; cranes when needed.

Pruning & crown work

Crown thinning, dead-wooding, structural pruning, view restoration. Pruned to ISA standards so the tree heals properly.

Storm response

A spruce on the carport at 11 PM? Call us. We’re on call 24/7 for emergency damage assessment and removal.

Stump grinding

Below grade, ready to re-sod or replant. We bring the grinder, we haul the chips, we leave the spot tidy.

Hazard assessment

Insurance dispute, real-estate sale, or just worried about that maple — we write up a certified arborist's report.

Lot clearing & chipping

New build site clearing, lot prep, big chipping jobs. We rent the chipper or bring our own.

ISA

Certified arborists. Not just guys with a chainsaw.

There's a real difference between a 'tree guy' and a certified arborist. We’ve done the training, we carry the gear, and we know which cuts kill a tree and which let it heal. That’s why we get called when the job needs to be done properly.

  • ISA-certified climbers on every job

No cowboy work. We climb roped & harnessed to ISA standards, every time.

  • Fully insured, $5M liability

WCB BC current, certificates available before we start. Your insurance will ask — we’ll have it ready.

  • Storm-response on call 24/7

Trees don’t fall during business hours. We pick up the phone after the wind picks up.

  • We clean up like we were never there

Tarps down, chips raked, branches hauled, magnetic sweep for any debris. The yard looks better than when we arrived.

How it works

Four steps. Tree gone safely.

No surprise fees. No "but the limb was bigger than I thought."

Real reviews

Real Greater Victoria reviews.

Word of mouth in this town moves fast — we’re proud of every star.

★★★★★

"Took down a 60-foot Douglas-fir two metres from the house. They climbed it, dropped it piece by piece, didn’t even nick the gutter. Worth every cent."

Marian J. — Oak Bay, Victoria
★★★★★

"Wind storm broke a big arbutus over our driveway at 8 PM Sunday. They were here Monday morning at 8 AM. Insurance paid the whole bill."

Dr. F. Chen — Saanich
★★★★★

"We had three quotes for a 4-tree thinning. Amaranth was middle on price but the only ones who explained what they were going to do and why. Easy choice."

Honest answers

Frequently asked.

Are you ISA-certified?
Yes — our climbers carry current ISA certifications. We can show you the cards. It matters because pruning by an uncertified cutter can kill a tree slowly.
Do you do emergency response?
24/7 for active damage (tree on a house, car, road). For non-urgent ‘something looks unsafe’ calls we usually visit within 2-3 days.
What about the wood and chips?
We haul everything by default. Want firewood-length rounds left? Just say so — we’ll stack them where you want.
Are you insured?
WCB BC current, $5M liability. Certificates available before we step on your property.
Do you do reports for insurance?
Yes — certified arborist reports for insurance claims, real-estate transactions, or just for your records.
